Amazon wants you to take your Kindle everywhere you go, without excuse, and they have submitted their own lighted Kindle covers with great success. In fact, these covers are the top-selling Kindle accessory.

One of the first things I look for in a cover is appearance. The contoured, pebble-grain leather cover is available in 7 bold colors (pictured at top). There is a color sure to satisfy everyone. It even comes in Pink!

A notable feature is the quality. It is well-done and I noticed no botched stitches or overlaps. That is a good sign that this puppy will last a long time.

The interior is lined with plush micro-fleece sure to keep your Kindle screen scratch free–at least it won’t be the case that scratches it.

I also like how easily the Kindle fits inside this cover with no squeezing or cramming the cover closed to zip it.

Best Lighted Kindle DX Cover

Periscope Flip Cover+Light for the Kindle DX $59.95

I wish there was a DX version of the Amazon Lighted Kindle Cover, but I have to admit this one is pretty awesome in its own right.

You can’t trust just any cover with protecting your Kindle DX, and I wouldn’t choose any lighted cover except this one for the task.

It is made of high quality leather and constructed perfectly. The design is innovative and the light works really, really well. I can’t say enough about this case. But then I don’t really need too.

There aren’t many options for the Kindle DX and this one is the best by a large margin.

I really like the fact that this alternates s a stand. My fellow DX owners know how tiring holding the Kindle DX can be after a while. This model has been well designed to accommodate the common annoyances.

Did I mention the cover can switch between vertical and horizontal standing position? I told you they thought of everything! I wish this model was made for the Kindle 3 too.
